Bob Friday is a veteran strategic/creative communications director with 20 years of marketing communications experience in advertising, promotion and live event production. Formerly of Marsteller Advertising and Burson-Marsteller Public Relations, Bob's experience as Executive Producer for Radio and TV and Executive Producer for Special Projects & Events led him on the path to create a unique marketing communications & creative services boutique, TGIF Communications, Inc.


Bob's creative and strategic experience includes hands-on expertise in graphic design, photography, videography, music production, talent direction and digital information management as well as all aspects of event production. His creative concepts and direction have provided such clients as M&M/Mars, Unum Life Insurance , Countrywide Home Loan, Nestlé Brands, Westinghouse, E. J. Brach Corporation , Johnson & Johnson, PUMA A.G., Nissan Motors, Warner Bros. Disney, UPS and General Electric with the quality service and on-target creative execution they demand.


From marketing strategies and ad campaigns to executive retreats for 20 studio moguls and massive multi-divisional 1800 attendee corporate events, Bob and his network of resources have supplied the creative and logistical forces that have earned widespread praise for the resulting impact and effectiveness. The key has been his ability to match top-notch execution with well-developed communications strategy. Bob’s philosophy drives every aspect of a project: “Everything we do – from the design of a piece of collateral to the strategy behind an ad campaign to the creation of the media that shows up on screens and stages – it's all about our customer's message -- their needs. It’s our job to understand the needs and get that message letter-perfect for our clients.”


Prior to Bob's entrance into the world of advertising, he spent several years as a solo acoustic musical and multi-media performer doing major concerts and shows at over 400 universities nationwide. He received a B.S. in Environmental Biology and Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.


Bob established TGIF Productions in 1987 in Pittsburgh, PA. An additional TGIF office was opened in Los Angeles in 1989 and in August of 1992 Bob relocated his home and business to Santa Monica, California.

In his most recent consulting role, Bob was the Executive Vice President, Brand, for the industry-leading customized water quality provider to the brewed beverage industry.

Bob is actively involved in pro bono event and communications work for Break the Cycle, an L.A.- based organization dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic violence in youth.
